Dog Food For Normal Fussy Fat Thin And Diabetic Dogs Recipe
12 bunch celery 2 -3 lbs beef If you are making the recipe as shown, before you start to prepare it, make sure you have a pot large enough to hold all the ingredients. A very large stock pot is great and essential. Chop or slice the carrots, potatoes, celery and meat to a size that suits your dog. Add the drippings, or soy sauce and stock cubes to the pot. If you don’t make roasts, see if your neighbours will save their drippings. This recipe can be made without the drippings or soy sauce/stock cubes, but I think the doggies deserve this luxury. You can freeze drippings. Add the water to the pot. You may need to reduce the amount of water. It will depend on the moisture content in the vegetables and meat. These days, I use about 12-14 cups of water. Put the pot on the stove top, over a high heat. Then — assuming the mixture has come to a boil — add the barley. Don’t add the barley until the boil happens . After adding the barley, cook for another 30-35 minutes , then dish up the servings for the evening meal and let them cool all day. 1 garlic clove, thinly chopped
1 cup asparagus, cut into ½ pieces
1 cup raw broccoli
3 cups low-sodium chicken stock
1 tsp fresh parsley
2 cups cooked brown rice
Directions:
Slice up the chicken breast into 1 pieces.
In a large saucepan, combine the garlic, asparagus, chicken, chicken stock, parsley and broccoli bring to a boil. Simmer for 1/2 hour or until the vegetables are tender.
Dont Be Afraid To Try Another Diet Type
If one type of diabetic dog diet commercial, home-cooked, raw doesnt agree with your diabetic dog, dont be afraid to try a different diet type.
For example, if a diabetic dog food brand does not improve your pet’s health over a few weeks, look into trying a raw food diet or homemade recipes instead, or try a different brand.
All dogs are different, and their conditions will be different as well. Your individual dog will thrive on various diets that are good specifically for this individual dog.
Just because your dogs diabetes is unmanageable on commercial dog food does not mean it will be unmanageable on a home-cooked or raw diet too.

My Recipe For Homemade Diabetic Dog Food
The hospital sent us home with a few samples of diabetic dog food. I sought advice from Rubys vet on both packaged and homemade diabetic dog food.
