Dr. Jayna Holroyd-Leduc is the Geriatric Section Head and an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. She received her medical degree and then completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at the University of Toronto. She completed a research fellowship in Geriatrics and Quality Improvement as a VA Quality Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco, USA. Her research interests include knowledge synthesis and translation focused on improving care provided to older adults. She is also very active in leading and promoting quality improvement initiatives within the Calgary zone and across Alberta, targeted towards frail seniors and their caregivers. She is the KT Chair of the Canadian Frailty Network NCE, an Associate Editor for the Canadian Medical Association Journal, and the previous Scientific Director of the Alberta Health Services Seniors Health Strategic Clinical Network.

Established in 2019, our Colorado Springs Diabetes Center offers multidisciplinary outpatient care for children with type 1 diabetes at the Briargate Outpatient Clinic. Our multidisciplinary care team includes social work and family navigators, medical assistants, registered dietitian and registered nurse diabetes educators, a nurse practitioner and pediatric endocrinologists. Dr. Sinclairs clinical practice is focused on diabetes mellitus , thyroid and parathyroid disease, as well as treatment of pituitary, adrenal, ovarian and testicular disorders. Given her particular interest in the health of Canadas indigenous peoples, along with Dr. Nathalie Saad, she attends an on-reserve, multidisciplinary, endocrinology clinic in Alberta.

The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes offers a wide variety of clinical services, research and training opportunities. In addition to the diagnosis and treatment of endocrinological problems, our faculty members are also involved in a variety of basic science and clinical research.
The division is staffed by a team of physicians and nurses, including certified diabetes educators. The division offers expertise in all areas of pediatric endocrinology, including disorders of growth, puberty, sex differentiation, glucose metabolism, bone and mineral metabolism, the pituitary/hypothalamus, the thyroid, the adrenal and the gonads.
The Johns Hopkins Pediatric Diabetes Center employs a multidisciplinary approach in which a team consisting of physicians, nurse educators, a dietician, a behavioral health specialist and a social worker provides comprehensive care of children and adolescents with diabetes, including cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, and support to their families.
