To qualify, you must:
- Be a United States citizen or permanent resident
- Not be eligible for or enrolled in Medicaid or VA benefits
- Have spent more than $1,100 on Part D medications in the past calendar year
- Have been prescribed insulin covered by the program
- Meet certain financial criteria
If you are approved, Eli Lilly will ship one to four months of insulin to your doctors office. The company will also include a refill form with this shipment, and you must fill it out and return it before you need another refill. Eligibility for the program lasts for 12 months, but you can reapply if you continue to need assistance.

A $35 insulin copay card Eli Lilly introduced in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been added to the company’s insulin affordability programs, according to a press release.
As Healio previously reported, Eli Lilly announced in April that it would introduce a $35 insulin copay card for anyone with commercial insurance and those without insurance in response to the economic crisis caused by COVID-19. The program covers most Lilly insulins, including all insulin lispro injection 100 U/mL formulations. In the release, Lilly stated that anyone with commercial insurance and those without insurance can continue filling their monthly prescription of Lilly insulins for $35 through this program.
“No one should ever have to ration their insulin. That’s why we are committed to including the copay card in our ongoing suite of solutions,” Mike Mason, president, Lilly Diabetes, said in the release. “Making insulin affordable at pharmacies through programs like the Lilly Insulin Value Program helps reduce the financial burden some people face at the pharmacy counter.”

Lilly recently announced its new Insulin Value Program, which allows anyone who has commercial insurance or no insurance to fill his or her monthly prescription of Lilly insulin for $35. This program covers most Lilly insulins, including Humalog. The $35 cap applies regardless of number of insulin doses required.
While the program was originally established as a coronavirus financial relief effort, Lilly announced on on September 10 that it will remain a permanent offering. If you are currently using the Lilly Insulin Value Program savings card, you will need to renew your card for 2021. To renew your card, or find out more about the program, call the Lilly Diabetes Solution Center at 833-808-1234 or visit www.insulinaffordability.com.
Effective immediately, consumers can access this program by visiting www.insulinaffordability.com and printing or downloading a PDF of the co-pay card to their mobile device. Alternatively, people can also call Lillys Diabetes Solution Center at 833-808-1234, open 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday, where representatives will help you get a co-pay card, either through email or US mail, which can be used at the pharmacy. Novo Nordisk Opens Free Insulin Program To People Who Lost Insurance Due To Covid
Like Sanofi and Lilly, Novo Nordisk also offers no-cost insulin to qualified beneficiaries. Novo Nordisk covers the insulins Fiasp, Levemir, Novolog, Novolin, Tresiba, and Xultophy.
To qualify for this program, you must:

- Have a household income of less than 400 percent of the federal poverty level

Insulin manufacturer Eli Lilly has announced a new program to limit out-of-pocket insulin costs to $35 per month for anyone with commercial health insurance or no health insurance.
The new Lilly Insulin Value Program went into effect on April 7, and was announced in a press release by the company. It covers most varieties of insulin that Lilly manufactures. That includes Humalog, Insulin Lispro Injection, Humalog Mix50/50, Humalog Mix75/25, and Insulin Lispro Protamine and Insulin Lispro Injectable Suspension Mix75/25.
